Filippinernas kommunistiska parti har en särskild revolutionär kvinnoorganisation som heter MAKIBAKA (Independent Movement of New Women) och som skapades runt 1970 .

Här ett uttalande från 8:e mars förra året.

“The potential strength of Filipino women is invaluable in achieving fundamental and radical changes in Philippine society. More than 50% of the country’s population are women. More than 70% of women in the country are workers, farmers and the urban poor. The bulk of women are found in the countryside of the country. In this situation, women are powerful forces of revolution that need to be aroused, organized and mobilized in the millions as they are.

The NDFP-ST congratulates the Makabayang Kilusan ng Bagong Kababaihan (MAKIBAKA) which is one of the NDFP’s affiliated organizations for leading the commemoration and celebration of international women’s day on March 8, 2021. Our greetings to the women fighters of the New People’s Army (NPA) in Southern Tagalog (SW) which is now busy, together with members of MAKIBAKA in conducting various activities in the region’s countryside to commemorate and celebrate international working women’s day.”

Kamraterna i Filippinernas uppfattning i kvinnofrågan kommer för övrigt till uttryck i olika dokument.

FKP:s partiprogram 2016:

Sison 1968: “4. The women compose about one-half of the Philippine population and they cut through classes. The vast majority of Filipino women, therefore, belong to the oppressed and exploited classes. But in addition to class oppression, they suffer male oppression. The revolutionaries of the opposite sex should exert extra efforts to make possible the widest participation of women in the people’s democratic revolution. They should not take the attitude that it is enough for the men in the family to be in the revolutionary movement. This attitude is actually feudal and it would be to aggravate the old clan and clerical influence on women if they were to be kept out of the revolutionary movement. Women can perform general as well as special tasks in the revolution. This is an effective method for liberating them from the clutches of feudal conservatism and also from the decadent bourgeois misrepresentation of women as mere objects of pleasure.”
